Most of the luxury lodges around Livingstone face the Zambezi River.  Opposite the river in Zimbabwe is the Zambezi National Park or Victoria Falls Town.  It is common to hear the night noises of lions or hyenas as they prowl their territory or see elephant, buffalo and other wildlife come to the river to drink.

The only lodge which is not along the river is Stanley Safari Lodge which is high up on a ridge in Mukuni Teak Forest and overlooks the valley with the river and the Victoria Falls below.


Getting There

Livingstone has an International Airport bringing visitors in from Lusaka, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Kruger National Park.
